Principal's Message
My name is Courtney Gillette and I am proud to serve as the Principal at Billy Mitchell Elementary School. Together with our wonderful students and staff, I am excited to get the school year off to a great start. I have loved working in Lawndale with such a great community, and I look forward to getting to know all of the Mitchell students and their families as we begin working as a team, setting high expectations, and fostering academic excellence.
At Billy Mitchell, our students are supported by a strong network of highly qualified teachers and staff. We put students first in everything we do. We embrace a growth mindset as we take on new challenges, build stamina, and reach for our full potential. As Aviators, we always fly high!
I encourage you to join us for school events, parent workshops, and family nights. Let’s learn together and continue to build upon our strong foundation. I am committed to meeting the needs of our school, and cultivating a positive and safe learning environment for all students and families.

Mi nombre es Courtney Gillette y estoy orgullosa de servir como directora de la Escuela Primaria Billy Mitchell. Junto con nuestros maravillosos estudiantes y personal, estoy emocionada de que el año escolar tenga un gran comienzo. Me encanta trabajar en Lawndale con una comunidad tan grandiosa y espero conocer a todos los estudiantes de Mitchell y sus familias mientras comenzamos a trabajar en equipo, estableciendo altas expectativas y fomentando la excelencia académica.
